Yet another Sascha Brastoff ashtray captured in a blurry cellphone pic. I’ve been passing on a lot of Calif pottery ashtrays lately, mostly because we have no use for them. If they’re spectacular looking, and in great shape at a great price, we sometimes pick them up still. However, this one had a lot of the usual chips on it. Often, we find that the ashtray “prongs” that stick out of the dish are the first thing to get chipped. And sadly, this damage is often very recent and comes as a result of thrift store workers.
