Roselane Wavy Low Bowl

We picked up this fantastic Roselane Pottery low bowl or dish at the flea market a few months back. It has a nice white matte glaze and is the perfect size for putting our table napkins in. We picked it up for a song - well, after the seller looked at the back and realized it might be valuable, he had to charge us a little extra. So we didn’t get it for a song, but maybe for a verse and a chorus? Haha.
The wavy sides of the bowl actually reminded me of some of the Haldeman handmade items from California. I keep forgetting to post up the Haldeman items I’ve collected, low bowls (though usually circular or oval) were a common item that they made by pinching in the ends of the leather hard clay. Roselane also made quite a few bowls like that, but I think they weren’t each handmade but were turned out from a mold.
