Going through my camera pics, I’m finally running out of Calif pottery items from our trip to post. There’ll probably be just a few more of them from here on, though I’ll continue with the pottery cameraphone shots from SoCal thrift shops as I come across them.

I had said earlier that I hadn’t see many Northington pieces around. On our trip to Monterey, I must have seen 5 or 6 of them! I actually saw this particular item twice, and the second time was more complete, but at the time I forgot to take a photo of that one. I think this one is actually the center of a lazy susan type serving set, because the other one I saw had dishes surrounding it. This was from an antique store in Cayucos, CA.

The pattern on the Northington lazy susan center is rather elaborate compared to the other ones I’ve seen, and actually is quite nice. Looks like a late 50s or early 60s item. In addition, this item was marked in-mold with the Northington name, which is different than some of the earlier casseroles I’ve seen.
