I’ve had some good luck with Bauer lately. My latest California Pottery acquisition (for a buck at the thrift) was this white Bauer Bulb Bowl. It is very similar in shape to the other gray speckle Bauer bowl that I picked up awhile go, but it is VERY heavy. The walls of the bowl are also thicker, and it is slightly shorter than the other gray one.

Other than a few glaze pinpricks, it’s in great shape. The markings on the bottom are identical to the other one - “Bauer Pottery - Los Angeles”. It continually amazes me that it’s possible to find this kind of stuff at the thrift if you look hard (and often) enough.
