Metlox Del Rey Chop Platter

I was extremely happy to find this Metlox Del Rey large platter at a blowout estate sale a few weeks back. As some of my online friends have mentioned, many mid century Metlox patterns seem to be more plentiful in the midwest. When they do appear here in Southern Calif, they’re usually found tucked away in antique malls at prices out of my reach. I picked this up for a dollar!
We actually have one other vegetable serving bowl from the Del Rey line that we use on a regular basis. But this is the first Del Rey item with the distinctive black curly lines and blue/grey dots that we’ve come across. I’m not sure yet if this will find regular usage in the house, however, because these enormous chop platters are rather hard to store in our tiny home which has cupboards the size of a shoebox. I have one other large chop platter from Metlox, from the California Tempo line, that is hogging up a large portion of a cupboard currently. Something needs to be done about this: I believe some of these big boys may have a date with Ebay in their future =)
