Heath Factory Article on Craftzine

I forgot to mention that our friend Jenny Ryan had a nice little article on Heath Ceramics awhile back on Craftzine after she got on the tour in July. We’ve been meaning to take this tour as well some day. It’s rather popular and located at the original factory in Sausalito.
Tours are on the weekends at 11am, but you should call for reservations. Sausalito is fairly close to San Francisco, so if you happen to be in the Bay area you might want to consider a trip to the factory.
I’ve only found Heath ashtrays at the thrift so far - everything else seems to get snapped up quickly, even though the ceramics are still being made and many haven’t changed in look very much. Their refined midcentury California Pottery style has remained unchanged but is still popular, which is a testament to the longevity of the designs originally created by Edith Heath.
