Came across this nice red bowl or cup by Gene Lodi. We know he was from California, but haven’t been able to find out much else about his business. Likely 1950s, his work bears a very strong resemblance to Barbara Willis. But we feel the quality and design of his pottery is a little better than some of the other Willis copycats of the day.

Most items we’ve seen from him have been similar - decorative or garden ware with a crackle glaze, often offset by areas of unglazed stained bisque or metallic glaze.
