I’ve had really interesting experiences with Bauer Pottery finds. One of the weirdest things is that I seem to encounter or acquire them in bunches. I’ll go four or five months with absolutely no Bauer items at the thrift, and then find four or five items in just a week!

In any case, I seem to be in the glorious “finding” mode at present. I’ve come across a number of different Bauer pieces from various sources, some very close to home (or actually, IN my own home and I didn’t even know they were Bauer!). I’ll be posting them up as soon as I can enter them into the ref.

This was one of the nicest surprises - a four inch black Bauer swirl flowerpot that I snagged at a thrift store for 58 cents. I didn’t even know it was Bauer at first - I thought it was a U.S. Pottery of Paramount swirl pot since they were one of Bauer’s competitors for garden items like this. This particular one didn’t have the hole knocked out - I seem to find them pretty much equally with holes and without.
