Bauer La Linda

I came across this serving dish the other day at the thrift which I immediately thought might be from Bauer. I’ve seen Bauer Monterey before, and the glaze, color and heft just seemed about right. I think the shape is pretty close to the serving dishes I’ve seen too.
The only thing is that this particular dish doesn’t seem to have the characteristic “rings” around the dish - and I know that Monterey usually does have those rings. In addition, there wasn’t a Bauer stamp on the bottom that I could detect. That may very well be the reason why it was still left at the thrift.
In any case, I don’t mind if it isn’t Bauer since it’s such a nice serving dish and a very useful size. Again, I just want to emphasize for the California pottery collectors out there that it’s a good idea to just buy what you like. That way, you won’t get stuck with a piece that you don’t want later on. I’ve been trying (somewhat successfully) to follow that credo more often nowadays, even if I buy a piece from a company that we don’t have sample pictures of.
Edited: Of course, my knowledge of Bauer is “faulty” to say the least - so I gotta rely on the experts for help sometime. Thanks Squar’d Baker for ID’ing this as La Linda and not Monterey. Makes complete sense now with the lack of rings!
